New Roto-Mix VX Series Single Auger Mixers

The new VX Series Single Auger Vertical Mixers by Roto-Mix, offer the small to medium sized dairies, cow/calf and heifer operations an efficient, durable, feed mixer that delivers a high quality TMR at an affordable price. Three models to choose from, the VX-315, VX-415 and VX-515 provide capacities in 300, 400 and 500 cubic feet respectively and are all under 100 inches in height.

Skid-steer loaders can easily load rations into the new Roto-Mix VX series mixers because they are all only 100 inches in height. The low center of gravity trailer mixer is very stable and can maneuver in tight areas, making it a valuable asset to any small to medium dairy, cow/calf or heifer operation.

This low profile mixer series enables nearly all types of loaders, even skid steers, to load feed without clearance concerns. The low loading height and very stable, low center of gravity make this vertical mixer one of the most versatile available. Your choice of right or left side discharge is a standard along with a side bolt-on conveyor option to allow for easy bunk feeding. A flow regulator plate enables the operator to optimize the flow of feed inside the mixer.

The single auger is powered by a reliable, low maintenance pto driven, planetary gearbox. An innovative design by Roto-Mix engineers are new “wing kickers” located at the bottom of the augers to force the last part of the ration out, resulting in excellent clean-out. Options include a hay chain ring that reduces spillage of larger loads, round and square bales. Knife options are available for processing hay and other rations. For feeders who want more capacity, Roto-Mix offers rubber extenders to add those crucial extra cubic feet. Dual truck tires on the trailer are also offered as an option for mud and snow. Available this summer, dealers are currently taking orders.

World Dairy Expo

Good afternoon!

We had a great time at the World Diary Expo in Madison, Wis. last week.

Kevin Zahrt, our general manager wholesale operations, said he wants to thank everyone who stopped by the Roto-Mix booth.

“We had a very successful show. We enjoyed our conversations with current Roto-Mix customers and had successful contact with many potential and new customers,” Kevin said.

Kevin said Roto-Mix had success with new sales during the World Dairy Expo. He said he also hopes Roto-Mix’s mailing recipients enjoyed their free ice cream.

With the World Dairy Expo behind us, there are several shows coming up.

This week we’re exhibiting at BeefEx on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Updates from Australia

Good morning!

Kelly Wittman, our customer service manager, is in Australia visiting with Roto-Mix customers. He’s also attending BeefEx this week.

Here are some photos and updates from Kelly.

On Sunday we visited Ellerby Dairy west of Warwick. Ged and Rachel have a 720-16 trailer unit. Stuart and I quoted this unit 2 years ago when I was here. They were demoing the 620-16 trailer unit at the time.

Kelly and Stuart visited Brindley Park to see their 1105H truck and visited with the manager David Breed. They have 2 more identical units that are currently on the water and should be at the port in the next few days.

Loading the 1105H mixer with a batch box. Last feeding of the day.

I happened to catch a beautiful Aussie sunset behind Brindley Park’s mixer as it was delivering the last load of the day to the cattle.

An organizational meeting of the Oklahoma Dairy Association was held. Dignitaries in attendance were the Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture, Jim Reece, State Senator, Charles Wyrick, Head of the Animal Science Department, Gerald Horn, along with several OSU Faculty and Farm Supervisors. Several milk cooperatives were represented. In total over 200 dairy industry enthusiasts attended.

OSU Animal Science Major Sponsors were recognized: Roto-Mix, Zeitlow Distributing Co., Johnson’s of Kingfisher, and Priefert had equipment on display.

It was the most successful dairy meeting in Oklahoma in recent years.
