Muscular Dystrophy Association Fundraiser

Roto-Mix President Mike Hilderbrand is participating in a fundraiser this year for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Here’s a letter from Mike:

I am being arrested again this year and sent to jail on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and I need your help to raise my bail. While it’s not a real jail, it’s even more important as I’m raising bail to help children and adults with muscle disease nationwide who are supported by the vital work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Last year, Roto-Mix was the #1 fundraiser in Ford County, KS and the money raised was used to send two children to the MDA’s special summer camp. In fact, last year Roto-Mix did such a good job of raising funds that this year MDA has doubled my bail.

I might not be able to rely on my good looks or good behavior to get out so that’s why I need your help – I need you to donate to my bail! Just go to the link below and click on the donation button to make a secure donation – I know that together we’ll Make a Muscle and Make a Difference in the fight against muscle disease.

Please help. I have only 2 days to raise my bail. Roto-Mix will match your contribution dollar for dollar, and will I will make a personal contribution that matches yours as well, meaning every dollar you contribute will become $3 to MDA. Your participation is, of course, totally optional – but even just a few dollars would go a long way.

Help me make a difference in helping these kids who are up against so much in life. But please hurry, because they are coming to take me away any minute!

Thank-you on behalf of MDA and the kids.

Fundraising for a good cause

Roto-Mix President Mike Hilderbrand needs your help!

He’s taking part in a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. As part of the fundraiser, he’s going to “jail” and in order to get out, he needs to make “bond.”

From his MDA page: “Believe it or not, I’m going to jail and I need your help. While it’s not a real jail, it’s even more important as I’m raising bail to help children and adults with muscle disease in Dodge City and the surrounding area who are supported by the vital work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). I might not be able to rely on good behavior to get out so that’s why I need your help – I need you to donate to my bail! Just click on the donation button to make a secure donation – I know that together we’ll Make a Muscle and Make a Difference in the fight against muscle disease. Even a few dollars will go a long way to helping the patients – and helping me regain my freedom.”

If you want to donate to Mike Hilderbrand’s “bond” you can go to his MDA page and make a donation.

Here’s a little more information from the MDA website:

The Lock-Up is the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s premier fundraising program. These high-profile events occur all across the country at various times throughout the year. Business and community leaders agree to be “put behind bars for good,” where they utilize use their vendors, co-workers, family and friends to get donations that will go toward their “bail.” Each Jailbird has weeks to raise their donations. That way, on the day of the Lock-Up event, they can enjoy the Lock-Up experience by networking with other business leaders and meeting with the individuals and families that they’re helping in their community. All funds raised by the MDA Lock-Up assist the Association in providing lifesaving research, a nationwide network of medical clinics and accessible summer camp experiences to individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
