Daughter of Roto-Mix Employee Wins Contest

The daughter of a Roto-Mix employee was recently named the 2012-2013 Kansas High School Rodeo Association Queen!

McKayla Bacon, daughter of Sharon and Doyle Bacon, participated in the KHSRA queen contest in Hutchinson earlier this month, as part of the KHSRA State Finals.

Sharon Bacon works at Roto-Mix in Dodge City.

McKayla took part in several categories in the contest: horsemanship, a two-minute speech, an impromptu speech, a personal interview and modeling.

McKayla, 17, will be a senior this year at Dodge City High School. She will go on to compete at the National High School Rodeo Finals July 13-21 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

She also competes in pole-bending and barrel racing through KHSRA and is on the Kansas High School Rodeo Academic Team.

Congratulations and good luck, McKayla!
