The WindDawgs played the Southwest Hitters in their first game on Saturday and we won 10-8. Our second game of the day was played against the Hays Braves and we won that game 8-0. In our third game of the day we played the Salina Irish and beat them 6-4.

On Sunday bracket play began and we were the top seeded team, which gave us a first round bye.

Our first game on Sunday was against the Salina Irish and we won that game 8-7 in the bottom of the last inning with a walk off single.

Our final game of the day was the championship game and we played the Hays Braves again. We ended up losing this game with a score of 14-7.

We want to congratulate all the kids on having a successful season and playing hard. I’m sure they will all do well in whatever they set out to do. They have all learned to work hard and play hard.

We also want to congratulate Jordan Knight on his two “Over The Fence” home runs this weekend. He hit one against the Southwest Hitters on Saturday and one in our final game Sunday against the Hays Braves.

We would also like to thank all of our sponsors which include: Kansas City Power & Light, Roto-Mix, Scott’s Auto Shop, Kansas State Troopers Association, Spearville Truck Stop, Brian & Jill Lewis, Bucklin Tractor & Implement (BTI) and Nau Farms.
